Tuition
DMI is a non-profit organization that receives no federal or state funding. It costs DMI approximately $32,218.75 to keep one student in the program for 10 months ($3,221.87 per month). However, we only charge $20,000.00 in tuition (which is $2,000 per month). The first $4,000.00 is required at intake. These expenses provide room and board, utilities, food, transportation, recreation, activities, church groups and camps, horsemanship, ranch trips, cattle drives, spiritual and academic curriculum, outdoor excursions such as hiking, camping, and more.
If a parent or guardian is not able to afford the tuition, then it is vital that they raise support for their son through family and friends, church, and co-workers. We encourage you to use our fundraising letter if you need assistance in asking for support. Many people are willing to donate to worthwhile ministries and this may be a great opportunity for a parent or guardian to share their personal testimony of what the Lord is doing in their life through this trial. Revelation 12:11 says, “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony…” The parent or guardian is solely responsible for each month’s tuition whether it comes from them personally or from an outside source. If the parent or guardian is still unable to raise the tuition, school loans are offered through Clark Behavioral Health Financing (www.clarkbhf.com).

Because we cover the remainder of the tuition, we require the parents to help us with our specific fund-raising events throughout the year. Funds raised through these events (Spring Banquet, 10-K, Dream Ride, Follow the Star) are applied to the remaining $12,218.75. We ask you to invite family and friends to our banquet, put together a team of runners for our 10-K, and help find sponsors for our Dream Ride and Follow the Star events. All donations are tax-deductable.
