Who We Are
DMI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides opportunities for addicted young men to live lives free of drugs and alcohol, so that they can experience success and find a purpose for their future through Discipleship, Horsemanship & Academics.
We are disciples of Jesus Christ making disciples of Jesus Christ. We believe in one-on-one mentoring and spiritual development in order to help troubled young men grow and heal from their past. They will be challenged to develop spiritual muscles (Colossians 2:6-7), which in turn produce the fruits of the spirit as spoken of in Galatians 5:22: love, joy peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. See our Student Activities page for more information.

“I see so much value in helping young men find their identity. We believe that you cannot be a Father unless you first learn to be a son. When a young man learns his identity as a son nothing can stop him. We believe the same for the Fathers of the boys we serve. It is such a great honor to be able to help Fathers know their identity in Christ; equipping them to become better husbands and fathers. Teaching the humility of servanthood, perseverance, spiritual tenacity, faithfulness and suffering gives us as Men a great challenge. I am honored to teach life-man-ship through horsemanship to the young men in the program. It has been an honor for me to be mentored by a great Horseman, Buddy Uldrikson. To see his transparency as a teacher and also as a student of the horse has given me a great example of humility and crucial thinking skills needed to work with horses. As a teacher, watching the boys mature with their horses I have seen a tenderness from them that I have never seen in the classroom. I have seen them open up and be vulnerable and the confidence begins to grow. I can also trust the young men in the program to get a job done with their horse. In this I see great communication. I see a gentle perseverance that they would never have had unless it was taught through their horse.
Many men of the world are looking in all the wrong places for their assurance of who they are as men, constantly finding themselves slaves to addictions of attitudes and wrong perspectives. I knew a great Father who has a quote ‘My prayer time makes me!’ When more men spend time on their knees, families will spend less time in despair, rejection, hurt and divorce.
Through DMI and our horsemanship program, God is raising up sons of royalty who have great confidence in who they are in Him.” – Pastor Brady and Adrienne Haire, Directors of Discipleship Ministry International
